【金伯鈴排骨大王】Cheap and satisfying! The best fried chicken rice in Kaohsiung!

I experienced a working holiday in Kaohsiung for a year from February 2020. Now I am writing a blog based on that experience.

What is 金伯鈴排骨大王?

金伯鈴排骨大王 is a five-minute walk from Exit 1 of Meilidao Station.





This restaurant is like a Taiwanese street lunch shop.





It is especially popular for its freshly fried chicken rice.





The shopkeepers are friendly, and the place just makes me want to come back!

The store look like

The store has a historical feel and is popular among locals.





It’s a hidden gem that you won’t find in the guidebooks.





There are chairs and tables outside with a roof, but if the weather is bad, it is recommended to take it home.

Recommended menu

The main menu is chicken lunch boxes, and the most recommended dish is the crispy chicken rice.





The price of the menu has been raised by $5 Taiwan dollars now.





Other fish dishes were also available.

How to order and points to note

Place your order at the counter.





Each dish comes with three side dishes.





The bill is paid afterwards, so don’t forget.





Free tea and soup are self-service.

Taste of the food

I ordered the $80 crispy chicken rice!





For side dishes, I chose Mapo Tofu, Taiwanese Kimchi, and Stewed Tofu.





The large chicken rice is very crispy and delicious!





The batter was seasoned with a sweet and spicy sauce that whetted my appetite.





The quantity is also more than I expected, I was very satisfied!
