Surprisingly, there are many beef noodle stores in Kaohsiung, and each one offers a different flavor.
The restaurant I’m going to introduce this time, “Lao Shandong Jia Chang Beef Noodle,” is located in the Xingzhong Night Market in the Sanduo Shopping District in central Kaohsiung.
This night market has restaurants where you can eat even during the day, so I can highly recommend it!

What is Old Shandong House Chang Beef Noodles?
The store is located in Kaohsiung’s Sanduo shopping district and has a historic look.
The store is privately owned and seems to have been loved by the locals for a long time.
It’s easily accessible from the train station, so I highly recommend it!

Atmosphere of the store
Inside the restaurant, there are several desks and chairs.
There are seats outside and inside, and you can sit freely.
It may be a little crowded at lunch time.
Chopsticks are placed on the desks.
Food Budget
The average price is $90 Taiwan Dollars, so $150 Taiwan Dollars should be enough to fill you up.
Compared to Taipei, you can get beef noodles cheaper, so I highly recommend it!

They also have steamed dumplings and soup.

How to Order and Points to Note
The menu is on the table, so you write it down and hand it to the waiter.
The price is paid afterwards, so it’s easier to pay if you remember the amount.
Only cash is accepted.
Taste of the food
The food is not too salty and has a gentle flavor.
The beef was well-cooked and tasty.
The noodles are thin, so I was able to taste the soup along with it!
If you like a thicker taste, you may be a little short of something.
The soup has a taste of condiments, so I think there are different likes and dislikes.
