The restaurant I’m going to introduce here, 天厨河粉, is a Vietnamese restaurant that is secretly popular in Kaohsiung, and the food is delicious.
I’d like to give you a special mention to one of the restaurants that I personally found to be one of the best I’ve ever tasted while living in Kaohsiung!

I experienced a working holiday in Kaohsiung for a year from 2020. Currently, I am writing a blog based on that experience.

What is 天厨河粉?
天厨河粉 is a Vietnamese restaurant with two branches in Kaohsiung.
The main restaurant is located in Sanduo District, and the branch I’m going to introduce here is located near the Xinyi Guoxiao Station.
The prices are reasonable, and you can get a full meal for as little as $200 Taiwan dollars!
The staff is also very friendly and helpful, so be sure to try it out!

Atmosphere of the store
When you enter the restaurant, you will see a row of spacious tables, and there is always an old lady at the reception desk who is the accountant.
You can sit freely, or if the place is crowded, you can sit upstairs.
The walls are covered with Vietnamese pictures and Vietnamese music is played in the restaurant.
Recommended menu
I recommend the Banh Mi, a bread filled with ingredients, and Pho, a delicious rice noodle dish.
There is also a full range of side dishes.
How to Order and Points to Note
There is a menu at the entrance, so write down your order and hand it to the receptionist.
The fee is payable in advance and only cash is accepted.
Taste of the food
I ordered a pork salad and some banh mi!
The salad has onions, cucumbers, pak choi, carrots, papaya, and pork on top.
I tried it and found it to be very tasty with a refreshing sweet and sour flavor.
The bain mee had fried pork as an ingredient, and the savory flavor was fantastic!
The bread was also crispy and tasted good with the pork.
However, the salad was a lot, so I thought more than one person would be recommended.
