It’s a great place to shop for everyday items or when you’re heading back home!

What is Market City?

Market City is a shopping center in Sydney’s Chinatown that sells a variety of goods.



There are many stores selling daily necessities and groceries.



Many of the products are reasonably priced, so be sure to take a look!

3 Recommendations

1 Paddy’s Market

This market is located on the first floor of Market City and offers a different atmosphere from Sydney.



You can buy souvenirs at very low prices, which is why I always used it on my way home!



If you want to buy souvenirs cheaper than those sold elsewhere, this is the place to go.



And sometimes you can get a discount if you buy more than one item, so it’s fun to try to haggle!



Once you compare the prices with other souvenir shops, you will be very surprised lol.



I recommend it if you need a lot of souvenirs!

2 Meat and vegetables can be bought cheaply

The market also sells meat, vegetables and fruits.



I used to use them all the time because they were way cheaper than what I could get at the supermarket!



Each store sells something a little different, so it’s fun just to look around.



I used to buy vegetables at this market in particular.



You can only use cash here.



You can buy a lot of vegetables in a bag for $5 Australian dollars, so I recommend it.

3 Asian Supermarket

As a supplement, there is an Asian Supermarket in Market City.



I used to go there a lot because you can get a variety of Asian foods at reasonable prices.



I highly recommend their frozen dumplings as they are so cheap and delicious!



It is also convenient to buy vegetables that are not available in Australian supermarkets.
