【Sydney】My first experience of Greek food at Zeus Street Greek! How does it taste?

What do you think of when you hear the word “Greek food”?




Most people think of yogurt.




There are Greek restaurants in the multinational city of Sydney, so I decided to give it a try!




If you haven’t heard of Greek food yet, this is a must-see.

I studied abroad in Sydney for a year starting in 2018. I am currently writing a blog based on that experience.

What is Greek food?

Greek food is famous for its use of a lot of olive oil, but it also features many dishes with vegetables as the main ingredient.




Greek food is also known for its fresh fish, so you can also enjoy dishes using seafood.




They even use yogurt, which has been eaten since ancient times, in their dishes!




Typical dishes include moussaka and taramo salad.

What is Zeus Street Greek?

There are 20 Greek restaurants in Australia, most of which are located in Sydney.




I think it is the largest Greek restaurant in Australia.




They have a very innovative menu, which is popular with the locals!

Appearance of the store

The restaurant I visited is located in the Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney.




It is located in the food court, so you can see a variety of restaurants.




There were chairs and tables on the outside and inside.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant

Since it is located in a shopping center, there are no windows, giving it an open feel.




The design is stylish and there were many customers in the restaurant.




It might be full on weekends.

Recommended menu

I recommend the dish called Pitas!




There were also salads and fried foods.

How to Order and Points to Note

There is an ordering area at the back of the restaurant, so place your order there!




The bill is paid in advance, and card payment is accepted.

Taste of the food

The food I ordered has arrived!




I ordered the Zeus Set.




Cheese, bread, and olives were on the plate.




I didn’t know what the other ingredients were because I never saw them lol.




When I actually tried it, I found the sour sauce and bread to be delicious.




The olives were very salty and sour.




I’d never had it before, so it was a fresh taste for me!
