What are the different types of Asian supermarkets in Sydney?

Sydney Asian supermarket

In the city of Sydney, there are Chinese, Southeast Asian, Korean, and Japanese supermarkets.

Among them, Chinese supermarkets are very common and you can often see them around the city.

Each store has a good selection of Asian foods, and I can recommend each of them.

The following is a list of stores that I particularly recommend.

Three stores that I recommend in Sydney

Sydney Asian supermarket

1 Miracle

Miracle is an Asian supermarket located in a shopping mall called World Square, near the language school.

The store is a bit small, but has a wide selection of products.

If you are a student at Greenwich English School, it is a convenient place to go shopping on your way home.

I used to buy a lot of Chinese seasonings at this store.

Payment by card is also accepted.

Miracle

  • Address: 644 George St, Sydney NSW 2000 Australia
  • Opening hours: 9:00am – 12:00am daily

2 Thai Kee IGA Supermarket

Thai Kee IGA Supermarket is located in the Market City area of Chinatown, and it has a spacious store with a good vegetable section.

It is probably the store that I used the most during my study abroad experience.

In my opinion, it has the most well-balanced selection of products in the city, and I recommend it.

Recommended items are frozen dumplings and seasonings.

Card payment is accepted.

3 City Super

This supermarket is conveniently located in the basement of Town Hall Station.

The store is small compared to others, but you can buy daily necessities as well as food.

Sometimes they have sales, so you can buy food at a discount.

I used to go there when I was short on time.

Card payment is accepted.

City Super

2 Convenience Store 8

This store is located near Town Hall Station, but it is not as well known as you might think.

The location is a bit confusing, so I guess it can’t be helped.

The store is not very big, but it sells a lot of Japanese products, so if you are interested, please go there.

I used to buy sweets here and give them to my friends as gifts.

They also accept credit cards, so it’s very convenient.
