Sydney is a fierce battleground for bubble tea stores, and there are many of them in the city.
In fact, there is a mix of good and not-so-good stores.
In the hopes that you all will get to know the real taste of the real tapioca stores in Taiwan, I’m going to introduce you to five stores that originated in Taiwan!
I recommend them to everyone, from those who already know about them to those who are new to them, so please read through until the end.

The bubble tea Situation in Sydney
Sydney is home to a diverse range of people, with many of them being of Asian descent.
Therefore, tapioca stores are often staffed by people from Taiwan and China, and you can enjoy the authentic taste of bubble tea.
You can buy seasonal products at each store, so they are very popular regardless of the season.
In Sydney, there are few queues at tapioca stores, so it’s nice to be able to drink it easily!
There is often a place to sit in the store, so you can go there instead of a cafe.
Five of the best bubble tea stores in Sydney!
1 Chatime QVB
This store was founded in Taiwan in 2005 and is a company that focuses on overseas expansion.
It has opened stores in 7 countries around the world, and in Australia, it has become a famous tapioca store with over 120 stores in 12 years.
They use carefully selected ingredients to provide a high quality beverage.
There is also one in Queen’s Victoria, near Town Hall Station, which is a great place to visit.
2 Gong Cha George St
Founded in Taiwan in 2006, this company has opened more than 1,500 stores in 20 countries around the world.
They use carefully selected tea leaves for their beverages and offer delicious drinks.
There are many of them in major cities in Australia, so many of you must have seen them before.
They are also located in Sydney, so please visit them.
3 The Alley Lujiaoxiang Sydney
The Alley Lujiaoxiang is a Taiwanese store with locations in North America, Europe, Oceania and Southeast Asia.
The Alley Lujiaoxiang uses carefully selected tea leaves, sugar, and tapioca to create a beverage unlike any other.
It is also a popular store in Sydney.
If you’re tired of regular tapioca, this is the place for you!
4 Sharetea George St
Established in Taiwan in 1992, Sharetea has over 300 stores in 16 countries around the world.
They purchase ingredients directly from Taiwan, so they are able to provide authentic drinks to people overseas.
They have many stores in Australia, so they’re relatively easy to find!
5 Coco
Established in Taiwan in 1997, Coco has over 4,000 stores worldwide.
It is probably the most well-known shop in the world.
They also put a lot of effort into their seasonal menu, offering delicious products every time.
If it’s your first time drinking tapioca, this is the place to go first!
