Hello everyone. I’m @olivertomolife and I’ve studied abroad in Sydney!
My Korean friend from when I studied abroad suggested that we go to this restaurant, so we decided to try it.
This restaurant is located in Homebush, which is a bit far from the city, but it was very delicious, so I thought I’d introduce it to you!
I studied abroad in Sydney for one year from 2018. Now, I am writing a blog based on that experience.
By reading this post, you’ll get to know the best Korean food in Sydney!
What is Myeongdong Korean Restaurant?
Myeongdong Korean Restaurant is located a bit far from Sydney city.
There’s a huge DFO outlet nearby, Sydney Olympic Park, and a lot of natural beauty!
I lived in the city and if my friend had not told me about this restaurant, I would not have found it.
This area is also close to Korean Town, so you can taste authentic food.
You can read more about the outlet in the following article.
Exterior of the restaurant
The restaurant is a typical Sydney building with tiled exterior walls.
We went at lunch time, so we had to wait in line for a while.
It’s a popular restaurant, so if you’re planning to have lunch, it’s best to get there early so you can get in quickly!
The atmosphere inside the restaurant
The restaurant is a large space with lots of seats.
There were many families and friends, and customers of all ages.
The staff at the restaurant were kind and told us about the menu.
Recommended Menu
Our recommended menu item is the cold noodles!
They also have a wide variety of bibimbap and soups.
How to Order and Points to Note
You can order directly from the waitress and wait for your food.
The bill is paid later, and card payment is also accepted.
However, please note that there will be a handling fee.
Taste of the food
After you finish ordering, your side dishes will be brought to you for free!
There’s so much variety, and you get unlimited free refills!
There are some Korean restaurants in Sydney that serve side dishes, but not many that serve this much, so I highly recommend it!
I ordered the cold rice noodles!
The ingredients are Chinese cabbage, cucumber, egg, and beef.
The noodles are topped with a sauce that you mix and eat.
My impression of the dish was that it was refreshing, and the noodles and sauce went really well together!
The egg was also well cooked, but had no flavor.
The beef was thinly sliced, but the salt and pepper flavor was delicious.
There are a lot of side dishes, so even if I only ordered one item, my stomach was full!
Summary
