【Kaohsiung】5 Best Places to Visit in Pier-2 Arts Special Spot! Can you eat ________ for free?

I’m sure you’ve heard of “Pier-2 Arts Special Zone” as a famous tourist attraction in Kaohsiung.





The grounds are so large that you’ll have a hard time deciding which stores to go to.





I’ve been there more than five times during my stay in Kaohsiung, and I’ll show you some of the places I can recommend in the area!





If you have been to Kaohsiung before or are going for the first time, this is a must-see!

What is Pier-2 Arts Special Zone?

Located in the coastal area of Kaohsiung, this art district began full-scale operation as an art space in 2002.





It was originally a warehouse district, but after looking for a use for the site, the government began to develop it as an art district, and it has been here ever since.

It has become a place of relaxation for Kaohsiung citizens as various events are held there every year.





Even though I wasn’t interested in art, I was able to enjoy it!

What kind of clothes should I wear?

It is recommended that you dress in summer clothes when you go to Pier-2 Arts Special Zone.





This is because it is always hot in Kaohsiung, especially on the ocean side.





The buildings and trains can be a bit chilly at times, so it is best to dress in light clothes and bring a jacket.





The sun is also very strong, so don’t forget to wear sunscreen.

Here are five places that I can recommend around Pier-2 Arts Special Dist.

1 Wooderful life Pier-2

Wooderful life is a store that sells wooden animal dolls and has a gorgeous display inside.





While in Kaohsiung, you will feel as if you are in another world, and you will enjoy just looking at them.





It is also a great place for parents and children to go together, so why not try it?

2 The estlite spectrum bookstore

This place, which is located in this location, is different from the other locations.





Located in a renovated warehouse, you can buy not only books but also artistic goods.





You can also buy stationery and food, making it a great place to buy souvenirs.

3 Ezai Ice City Pier 2

When the temperature is high, what you want to eat is something cold, right?





Ezai Ice City Pier 2 is a place where you can enjoy a refreshing and delicious ice cream.





They have a wide variety of ice creams to choose from, so you will have a hard time deciding which one to eat.





I especially recommend the mango ice cream, so give it a try!

4 New Curry

If you get hungry after sightseeing, why not have lunch here?





You’ll get a delicious curry with a touch of spice!





The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, so it is highly recommended.

5 Slightly Hot Mountain Hill, Kaohsiung Pier-2 Special Dist.

A branch of Taiwan’s famous pineapple cake is also located in Kaohsiung.





At this store, you can sample tea and pineapple cake for free!





Taiwanese people are also very fond of free things, so many people line up every time.





There is also a park nearby, so if you want to take a walk, this is a good place to do so.
