【博義師燒肉飯】Best for breakfast? Recommended rice bowl in Kaohsiung, Part 1

Hello everyone. I’m @olivertomolife and I’ve studied abroad in Kaohsiung!





In Taiwan, we don’t have the custom of preferring to wait in line, but there are long lines at really good restaurants.






People from all countries seem to be honest about good food.





It’s a dish called “barbecued rice” with pork on rice, and it’s an essential part of Taiwanese cuisine!





Now, let me introduce the restaurant.

Experienced a working holiday in Kaohsiung for a year starting in 2020. I am currently writing a blog based on that experience.





By reading this post, you’ll get to know about some of my favorite restaurants in Kaohsiung!

What is 博義師燒肉飯?

This restaurant is located in the center of Kaohsiung and is a local favorite.





At lunch time, many people come to the restaurant, but the turnover is fast, so you don’t have to wait too long to eat.





There are not many good restaurants in the area, so it is always popular.





I highly recommend it for one or more people, so do go!

How to get to the store

Here’s how to get to the restaurant with pictures.





First, take exit 6 of the station.

Turn right and walk straight ahead until you see a fruit and vegetable store.

Turn right at this store and you’re there!

It’s very close to the station, so you won’t get lost.

Atmosphere of the store

First of all, there is a cooking area at the entrance of the store, where shoppers are working efficiently.





Inside the restaurant, there are tables and chairs, so feel free to choose and sit down.





When the restaurant is crowded, you will be seated together.

Budget for food

The most expensive dish is $100 Taiwan dollars, which is very reasonable.





Personally, I think one person can be satisfied with less than $200.

Recommended Menu

I recommend the barbeque rice, of course!





There are also soups, congee, and other dishes available.

How to Order and Points to Note

There is a menu list at the entrance, so fill it out and hand it to the waiter.





It gets crowded at lunchtime, so it’s best to grab a seat after you’ve taken the menu.





You have to pay the bill afterwards, so remember the amount.





Only cash is accepted for payment.

Taste of the food

I ordered the Barbeque rice and Memma.





I would like to try them as soon as possible.





Tastes like a combination of meat and rice with a solid sauce on it!





The sauce has a sweet flavor that makes the rice taste better.





There are seasonings on the table that you can use if you think it lacks flavor.





There is ginger in it, so it tastes refreshing too!
