Yasaka ramen is a ramen restaurant that has been running two stores in Sydney city and Waterloo since the store was established in 2014.

The store is run by a Japanese owner who is trained in the art of ramen, so you can enjoy the authentic taste of ramen in Sydney!

When I was studying abroad, I always went to this store when I introduced ramen to my friends.

As of September 2021, it is only open for takeout.

  • Opening hours: 11:30am – 8:30pm daily

The stores

I’ve only been to the store in the city, so I’ll describe that one.

Located near the Town Hall station, the store has a wooden design with an orange sign on the exterior that makes waiting people want to stop by.

There is a numbered ticket at the entrance of the restaurant, so write your name and the number of people on it and wait.

There is a menu outside, so you can check out what kind of ramen they have!

The restaurant is spacious, with seats on the first and second floors.

There are many different types of ramen and tsukemen on the menu, but I recommend the Yasaka Ramen!

All of the store’s ramen is pork-based, and you can choose from soy sauce, salt, and miso flavors.

Yasaka Ramen is the most standard ramen, but since it is the signature dish, I felt that many people ordered this menu.

They also have a nice selection of side dishes like gyoza and donburi!

How to Order and Points to Note

Orders are given directly to the waitress.

Many Japanese people are working there, so you can feel safe.

Be aware that only cash is accepted for payment.

You can order online now at Corona situation

Taste of the food

Sydney yasaka ramen taste

I ordered their popular Yasaka Ramen!

It has chashu pork, spring onions, bamboo shoots, and nori as ingredients.

It’s very tasty, with the perfect balance between the homemade noodles they make in the restaurant and the thick broth!

The quantity of noodles may be too small for men.

The amount of noodles may not be enough for men, but you can also order a large bowl of noodles, so it’s worth a try.

Overall, I was very satisfied!

Summary

Sydney ramen recommend
  • Homemade noodles and soup is delicious!
  • Some people may not have enough noodles.
  • Payment can only be made in cash.

I introduced Yasaka Ramen!

It is easily accessible in Sydney city, so if you feel like eating Japanese ramen, why not try it?

I’ll be posting more information about Australia in the future, so please stay tuned.

Thank you for reading to the end!
