What are the three recommended dessert stores in Kaohsiung?

I’ve put together a list of three of the most popular stores in Kaohsiung!




1 Fuchuan Snowflake Ice

This shaved ice store is located near the ocean in Xizihuan, Kaohsiung, and is famous for its mango shaved ice.





It’s a very tasty store, but it’s always empty because there is a popular store across the street.





The prices are cheap and the portions are large, so you will be very satisfied.





Go there if you want a good dessert without having to wait for hours!

2 Mita Brown Sugar Sanduo Shop

One of the only 15 tapioca milk tea stores in Taiwan is also located in Kaohsiung.





This store sells brown sugar tapioca and makes the most of carefully selected ingredients.





This is one of the most popular beverage stores among the many, and I highly recommend it.

3 Qingyuan Taro ball – Kaohsiung Qixianmen City

This popular Taiwanese dessert made from taro ball is also available in Kaohsiung!





These desserts are chewy and are eaten all year round, and the sweet syrup is the best part.





There are many branches of this dessert in Taiwan, so if you find one, be sure to try it!

1 Bubble Tea

Bubble Tea is a popular drink in Taiwan, made from cassava starch and mixed with milk tea.





The beverage has been popular among Taiwanese citizens since the 1980s, and its recognition has since spread to other parts of the world.





As a result, there are many stores selling tapioca milk tea all over Taiwan.





Each one has its own characteristics, so why not give it a try?




2 Mango Shaved Ice

Ice Monster is said to be the originator of mango shaved ice in Taiwan. It originated in Taipei and is quite popular.





It is a must-have dessert in summer, consisting of mango and ice cream on top of condensed milk sorbet.





Mangoes in Taiwan come into season around June every year, so it’s best to go to the store around that time!




3 Taro balls

This traditional Taiwanese dessert is made from taro and is famous in Jiufen, a popular tourist destination in New Taipei City.





Taro balls are made by mixing steamed and mashed taro and sweet potatoes, shaping them, and boiling them again.





The appearance changes depending on the color of the mashed taro, so you can enjoy the color as well.





They are often eaten in beverages or with sweet syrup.




4 Aiyu

This jelly is made from a plant belonging to the fig family, which is only found in Taiwan, and can be found in Taiwan’s night markets and on the streets.





In Taiwan’s humid outdoors, the sweet and sour flavors are delicious and loved by the citizens.





The taste varies from store to store, so be sure to try some!




5 Xiancao jelly

Xiancao jelly is a dessert made from a medicinal herb called “Xiancao,” which can be easily purchased at supermarkets in Taiwan.





Xiancao has been used in Chinese medicine for a long time, and contains many beneficial properties.





It is said to be effective in lowering body temperature and preventing high blood pressure.





That’s why it’s eaten on a daily basis in Taiwan, regardless of age!
